The area leading to the Light House Galley used to be virtually cut off during the war, but one can now drive there or walk up to the Light House Galley without any restrictions. Further, if you are around Colombo town, you could simply take a short walk and head towards the lighthouse.

Getting there is easy. You can either get off at Galle Face; take a stroll along the greens and keep walking pass the old parliament. Align to the left side at the roundabout and head towards the Chaithya on the Chaithya Road. Also most tuk- tuk drivers would know this place as it is gaining popularity now.
