The restaurant facing the light house has a certain street café feel to it because one can relax or read a book in the courtyard by the veranda or sip a drink under an umbrella, enthralled by the sea breeze. Chaithya road which is the access road to the restaurant is virtually traffic free during the day or in the evening and adds a certain mystique to the ambiance.The road leads to the port passing the Sambuddha Jayanthi Chaithya, is a stupa, a Buddhist shrine, built with reinforced concrete suspended on a platform supported by two interlocking archers. The stupa is placed above the Marine Drive at the entrance of the Colombo Harbour. This monumental structure is a landmark to seafarers approaching the shores of Sri Lanka

The fully air-conditioned restaurant of the Light House Galley serves Sri Lankan, Indian, Italian, Mexican and Chinese cuisine, while an à la carte menu is also available.
